Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot Deck
Discover the quirky, colorful cast of characters who inhabit the 78 cards of the Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot as they journey toward spiritual fulfillment. Graham Cameron's whimsical illustrations invite the reader to follow The Fool as he introduces the players in the performance of life. Pull back the curtain and view the tarot as you have never seen it before.
The card backs feature four motifs presented throughout the Major and Minor Arcana: the number 56, jigsaw puzzle pieces, dice, and a question mark. Each of the suits corresponds to an element and a setting. Swords relates to air and labyrinths. Wands correspond to fire and the circus. Cups relate to water and the desert. Coins are linked to earth and a small village. Each character in Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot is introduced with a lively description.
Graham Cameron was inspired by Fergus Hall’ s Tarot of Witches.
“Think of yourself as an actor, placed in a theater at the time of your birth. You have been invited to join the millions of other actors around you, to take your place at the Phantasmagoric Theater. Every scene has been assembled for your performance. The script has been written and your cues are in order. If nothing goes wrong, you will sail through your performance until the final curtain. But things can and do go amiss - a piece of scenery may become loose, there might be interference in the sound system, or you may feel uncomfortable in your costume. So you begin to make subtle adjustments, and in doing so, cause minor changes to the outcome of the play. These changes may not be noticed until years later. Their messages will be sent out to you, although some may become distorted at the time of their arrival.”
